My Grandmother went to the market....

For ages: any which know their alphabet

Everyone sits in a circle (or some order is decided if its a small room and theres people on the floor and furniture) and one person starts a chain:

Person 1 : My grandmother went to the market and she bought an APPLE

Person 2 : My grandmother went to the market and she bought an APPLE, a BANANA

Person 3 : My grandmother went to the market and she bought an APPLE, a BANANA and a CHILD.
(do not be worried, odd items the grandmother bought will simply add to the hilarity.
as you can see, it goes in alphabetical order)

Person 4 : my grandmother went to the market and she bought an APPLE, a BANANA, a CHILD and then she DANCED

---> does not have to just items but actions as well, e.g. went HOME (in which case the rest of the list will have to support the fact that she is now at home)

RULES: no swearing, no rudeness

THE WINNER: if the team doesnt manage very far the last man standing wins the game. if a few kids reach Z start a round 2.

nice time filler, or even an ice breaker

Thanks for this submission, anonymous.

It's good to be reminded that we can always use a fun game to fill time or break the ice. It doesn't always have to have direct religous content.
