My First Valentines Day Fundraiser

I really wanted all the kids to be involved in the fundraiser. As a class we brainstormed different ideas. The kids and I decided on having a great party with lots of activities. Each person was to contribute $5 at the door or five items that they would like to donate (each item would be worth $1). Some people would give $3 and donate two items as long as the value would add up to $5. The food was donated by local grocery stores and restaurants.
We created many activities for the fundraiser. My favorite activity was "Guess Father's Age". The father of our parish was a great sport about this. Everyone who wanted to participate would give a dollar in exchange for a pen and paper where they would write their guesses and their own names. The papers were collected and tallied the people who got the answer correct received a price.
The entire event was lots of fun. We raised $2,500 in total.
