Jesus is Alive egg hunt

by Sheila Smith
(Texas)

Our church buys plain white or green 18 count egg cartons.
On the first row of the carton we write

J e s u s

on the second row of the carton we write

i s

and on the third row of the carton we write

A l i v e

We buy plastic eggs and write a letter on each egg. Only the letters in 'Jesus is Alive' are used so that when the children hunt eggs they do a letter search matching the eggs to the carton. Each childs eggs will spell out 'Jesus is Alive'. We leave the eggs empty ro represent the empty tomb. Once the kids have their eggs in the appropriate spaces of the carton, they bring them to an adult worker.

Then they are given a goodie bag filled with a lot candy, witness tracks, witness bookmarks and scripture candy, etc. This is an egg-cellent way to teach the the true meaning of Easter.
