Float or Sink

Editor's note: Here's a fun game for our younger children who don't completely understand why things float or sink. Making the groups agree on a single choice is what makes this game an icebreaker.

Get a bowl of water and objects which either float or sink. Objects could include; a tomato, an onion, a plastic comb, a raw egg, a boiled egg, among others.

Assign the children into groups, for instance you could group the girls and boys depending. Ask the groups to decide whether each object floats or sinks.

Once they have given their choice, then test it out. The more right answers a group has, the more the points they earn.
