Four year degree programs

There are few degree programs offered with a focus in Children’s Ministry. However, Ambrose University in Canada offers two options, a Bachelor of Theology (BTh) and a Bachelor of Ministry (BMin) http://www.ambrose.edu/programs/cmin

On-Site Certificate Programs

Union Theological College of Belfast, Northern Ireland, UK offers a 16 week certificate program in Children’s Ministry. http://www.union.ac.uk/part-time-study-opportunities/youth-and-childrens-ministry-courses/

Calvary Baptist Church offers an 8 course certificate in Children’s Ministry. The program is part-time and can be completed in two years http://www.cbcnyc.org/index.cfm/fuseaction/feature.display/feature_id/7/index.cfm

Online Certificate Programs

A 30 credit certificate is offered entirely online by Valley Forge Christian College http://www.cmuniversity.org/

Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond offers a Congregational Leadership Certificate Program that includes a concentration in Preschool and Children’s Ministry http://www.btsr.edu/acad_course_SoCM_aclcp.html#aclc

University of Wales, Bangor - The Welsh National Centre for Religious Education offers a “Children’s Ministry Undergraduate Certificate” through distance learning. The program consists of 12 10-credit modules that can be taken over two or three years, and are equivalent to one year of full time academic study. http://www.trsonline.org.uk/course.php?13

Workshop or Seminar Based Certificate Programs

Philadelphia Biblical University offers a one week on-site program in Children’s Ministry, which they describe as a intensive one-week program. http://www.pbu.edu/programs/ihl/cmld.htm
