These commentaries are not presented in any particular order. I make no attempt to identify the 'best' bible commentary. Each will appeal to readers of different denominations and inclination.
They were selected for quality at relatively low cost, with a cost of $US50 or less, while covering at least one of the Testaments fully.
Each one provides well regarded commentary, accessible to the lay reader. By 'lay reader' I mean an educated Christian reader, who is not, however, a seminary student. Any one of these texts would be a good choice for a Children’s Sunday School Teacher, who wishes to ensure he or she has a proper understand of the Bible text to be taught in the lesson.
I will add reviews of each book to this page as I am able. If you would like to submit a review of any of these books, or suggest another title for this page, please contact me. I’d be delighted to share it with your fellow readers.

The Navarre Bible: New Testament (Compact Edition)
by University of Navarre (Editor) (ISBN: 1889334596)
No compact Navarre Bible: Old Testament edition exists at this time. The following are the separate volumes of the Old Testament. Each retails for less than $US50. However, you’d probably have to spend over $US300 to get all seven volumes. Perhaps grounds to try some of the ideas presented in our fundraising section?
