Advertise your Friend Icebreaker

Can be used as an ice-breaker for a youth group of 20 people approx... for a bigger crowd more time will need to be taken accordingly...
Randomly split the entire crowd in to two equal half, ensuring that boys and girls are equally split so that no single team should have an accumulation of the same gender.
Now ask the two teams to line up in increasing order of the age of the team members, announce that the 1st team to complete this will be the winner.
Now you will have 2 teams lined up in ascending order of age.
Tell them to call out numbers for each team member separately - like 1,2,3...till 10 and similarly to the next team.
So now every 2 people one from each team has the same number, now ask them to combine and form a new team. If the overall crowd is 20, then you would have got 10 teams with 2 members each.
Now give them 5 minutes to learn about the other team member.
Then each of the 10 teams will be given a time of 1 minute to speak about the other person in ta team. ie) 30 seconds for each individual.
Basically they will be advertising the team member. This will make them learn more about everyone.
If each team speaks for 1 minute within 10 minutes 10 teams can finish and that means all 20 members will know more about each other.
This will be a good ice breaker.
Gifts can be given to the best two teams who did the advertising properly. :)
